  Satellite Communication in the Air: Enhancing Communication for Rotary-Wing Aircraft From military aircraft to border patrol planes, search and rescue helicopters, and medical transport aircraft, the missions of various rotary-wing aircraft are diverse. Real-time communication, live video feeds, and other data transmissions are essential for informed decision-making and rapid response. Unlike fixed-wing aircraft, a long-standing technical challenge for helicopters has been the impact of rotor blade operation on satellite communication signals, leading to interruptions in receiving and transmitting communications.
