It is a gas sensor that has a high sensitivity to methane gas.
The gas sensor consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater, and it is housed in a standard T0-5 package. When detectable gases are present, the conductivity of the sensor increases as the concentration of that gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2611-E00 is equipped with a filter cap to eliminate the effects of interfering gases such as alcohol, and it exhibits high selectivity for methane gas. It is an ideal sensor for household gas leak detectors, especially in harsh environments. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.
