It is a gas sensor that has a high sensitivity to LP gas and its components (propane, butane).
The gas sensor consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater, and is housed in a standard T0-5 package. When detectable gases are present, the conductivity of the sensor increases as the concentration of that gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2610-D00 is equipped with a filter cap to eliminate the effects of interfering gases such as alcohol, demonstrating high selectivity for LP gas sensitivity characteristics. It is an ideal sensor for household gas leak detectors, especially in harsh environments. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.
