It is a gas sensor with low power consumption and high sensitivity to methane.
The gas sensor is composed of a heater formed on a silicon substrate using MEMS technology and a metal oxide semiconductor formed on its support substrate. The power consumption is very low at 0.087mW (average value), making it suitable for applications in low-power and battery-operated devices. When detectable gases are present in the air, the electrical conductivity of the sensor increases with higher gas concentrations. A simple electrical circuit can convert such changes in electrical conductivity into a voltage output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS8410 is equipped with a filter cap to eliminate the influence of interfering gases such as alcohol, demonstrating high selectivity for methane gas. It is an ideal gas sensor for household gas leak detectors, especially in harsh environments. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.
