We 3D scanned the local traditional craft, Shirakawa Daruma, and digitized the data, then manufactured the Daruma using 5-axis simultaneous machining from aluminum material. Originally, the Daruma is made from paper, but we received an order for a metal version and processed it through reverse engineering. We have also reproduced the Daruma's expression and smooth body. To add a rocking motion, we hollowed out the interior from the bottom and used a copper lid as a weight. Our company is capable of reverse engineering processes that involve measuring existing products and designing drawings. Additionally, we can prototype original products with added arrangements.
