The characteristics of Bond Elut DEA and Bond Elut NH2 are similar in several respects, and they are also somewhat akin to Bond Elut PSA. DEA has a slightly lower exchange capacity (1.0 meq/g) as an anion exchange packing material compared to NH2, and the addition of a carbon chain to the functional group has further increased its hydrophobicity. Even with the presence of the main functional group, DEA also functions as a packing material with moderate polarity due to the carbon chain.
