Bond Elut PRS is a highly hydrophilic strong cation exchange material, and there are no notable hydrophobic interactions observed. In non-polar solvents, it exhibits properties of hydrophilic interactions and hydrogen bonding. Due to the low pKa of PRS, cationic compounds must elute either by using a high ionic strength buffer or by suppressing the charge to isolate the cations. Therefore, PRS is effective for weak cations such as pyridine compounds.
