Water-based paint binder with weather resistance equivalent to Kynar 500.
Kynar Aquatec® is a binder for high weather-resistant water-based paints that enhances adhesion to various substrates while lowering the minimum film-forming temperature by uniquely mixing acrylics with water-based emulsions of PVDF resins, making it suitable for use in room temperature drying paints. Due to the high baking temperature required, the highly weather-resistant Kynar 500® paint can only be used on metal substrates, but by using Kynar Aquatec®, it is possible to produce high weather-resistant paints for substrates with lower heat resistance or those that are difficult to paint in a factory setting.
