I was asked by the government to improve the issues with evacuation shelters, and here is a case of toilet installation in the disaster-stricken area.
Our company has installed the comfortable toilet "Seseragi" Sprite at evacuation centers in Wajima City, which was affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. The Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on January 1 caused widespread damage, including the collapse of houses, water outages, and power outages, leaving many people still forced to live in evacuation centers. From March 8 to 19, we installed a total of 19 units of comfortable toilets (with heated seats) at 9 evacuation centers. Users (including evacuees and local government staff supporting disaster relief) have expressed great satisfaction, and since most people are using the comfortable toilets, we believe that the quality of our toilets is being well recognized. [Features of the Installed Toilets] - Not only does it satisfy the comfortable indoor space, dimensions, and equipment, but it also includes a toilet unit with a built-in circulating urine treatment system. - Recycled water processed by the underground circulating urine treatment system is continuously supplied to the toilet bowl for flushing. - While it is a fully functional flush toilet, it is designed to conserve water and reduce the frequency of waste collection, taking into consideration both people and nature. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

In March 2002, Orient Ecology Co., Ltd. was established as a subsidiary of Toyo Construction to engage in business areas related to "water" with a focus on the global environment of the 21st century. It started by selling unit-type mobile toilets that can be used at construction sites and events, but after various technological improvements, it now offers "self-processing toilets" that consider natural environments without discharging treated water. These toilets are sold nationwide, including in national parks such as Yakushima and Shiretoko, as well as in river parks and for disaster response. Furthermore, in October 2016, the company began a rental business. By consolidating the technology developed through the "self-processing toilets," it has created "comfortable toilets" recommended by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, providing comfortable spaces at construction sites and various locations. On April 1, 2023, it merged with Tekuos Co., Ltd., also part of the Toyo Construction Group, and is now operating under a new structure as the Orient Ecology Division, aiming to further become a "creator of comfortable environments."
