We would like to introduce a case study involving measurements conducted using a 3D laser scanner. The request came from a client who wanted to analyze the gap dimensions between the columns and ceiling trusses in order to consider the installation of temporary scaffolding, without stopping the operating overhead crane. By utilizing 3D laser measurement, we were able to conduct safe and accurate measurements and analyses without completely halting the machinery in operation, which helped confirm the current clearances and facilitated the installation of the temporary scaffolding.
