The Trimble X7 (for construction and facilities) is a site-completion type 3D laser scanner that quickly captures point clouds at construction sites for structures and facilities, allowing for consistency checks with data created in BIM. - Its lightweight and compact design, along with a lightweight and robust carbon tripod, makes it easy to take to the field. - Setting up point cloud measurements is simple, enabling even beginners to easily capture and synthesize point clouds on-site. With the Trimble X7, the "leveling" work that was traditionally required for setting up 3D scanners is no longer necessary. Thanks to the "automatic leveling" feature, it can obtain data similar to that of a level installation even when tilted. It performs automatic leveling with an accuracy of 3 mm at tilts of up to 5°, and if tilted up to 45°, it automatically corrects during the merging process after scanning. This makes it possible for anyone to easily perform 3D scanning.
The Trimble X7 performs tilt correction, ambient temperature and internal temperature checks, angle correction through collimation error checks, and distance correction based on reflectivity for each measurement, ensuring that every measurement is conducted with the quality of a freshly calibrated device. It also monitors vibrations and movements during scanning to optimize the data.
