【Product Overview】 ■Photodiode When the material is silicon (Si), it is sensitive to ultraviolet, visible light, and infrared (up to 1100nm) wavelengths. When compound semiconductors like InGaAs are used as the material, it is sensitive to longer wavelength infrared. It can be used for various sensing applications when combined with a light source. ■Phototransistor A phototransistor is a structure that integrates a photodiode and a transistor. It is a light-receiving element that amplifies the photocurrent generated by the photodiode using the transistor before outputting the current. ■Avalanche Photodiode An avalanche photodiode is a semiconductor device that multiplies photoelectrons by applying a reverse bias voltage. By performing this multiplication, it can achieve a larger photocurrent than a standard photodiode. It is suitable for detecting weak light.
