Reasons Why an External Roll Screen Can Contribute to Energy Saving for Air Conditioners [Prevents Efficiency Loss of Outdoor Units in Scorching Heat] When direct sunlight hits the outdoor unit, combined with radiant heat from the ground, the surrounding temperature rises significantly. This prevents the outdoor unit from dissipating heat effectively, leading to increased electricity consumption. By installing the outdoor unit in a shaded area, its efficiency improves, resulting in energy savings. However, it is crucial that the sunshade does not block the ventilation openings of the outdoor unit.
