By placing a probe in test liquids such as vessels and bioreactors, UV monitoring can be performed at intervals as short as 2 seconds without sampling. The included AuPRO software maximizes the functionality of UV monitoring with features such as secondary differential analysis and the Zero Intercept Method (which minimizes the impact of specific components on the results of other components), enabling many tests that were not possible before. Rainbow can be used not only with dissolution testers (some models are not compatible) but also with a dedicated small-volume dissolution tester: the Mini-Bath. Additionally, it can be used in combination with other Pion products such as µFLUX and Macro FLUX for dissolution + membrane permeation testing.
