Technical Capabilities of Nitto Kogyo Co., Ltd. ~Successful Development Case of an Ultra-Small Wankel Rotary Engine (0.137cc)~ In 2000, we received a request from a certain university in the United States to design and manufacture an ultra-small Wankel rotary engine (RE). The key to the success of this project was the realization of a fully self-operating ultra-small RE. The university had been independently developing several ultra-small REs, but when the starter output was reduced to below 50%, the operation would stop, making development difficult. This led to a request from the university, which focused on our NR-20 series. After receiving a detailed explanation of the project, we utilized our unique technology and began design and development from scratch. As a result, we completed an ultra-small RE with a displacement of 0.137cc, smaller than the university's prototype. After delivery, it was reported that a 100% self-operating test using hydrogen fuel at the university was successful. This achievement led to the realization of the world's smallest self-operating RE at that time, proving our technical capabilities to the world. ◎ We also welcome simple machining requests, so please feel free to consult with us. #Small Lot Machining #Medium Lot Machining #Single Item Machining #General Machining
