Piab's new series of modular suction cups 'BXP ESD' Electrostatic discharge (ESD), which occurs when accumulated electricity suddenly flows between two objects, can have detrimental effects on many manufacturing industries. ESD is not only hazardous to operators but can also damage delicate components of batteries and electronic devices, potentially leading to malfunctions or failures. To protect delicate components such as batteries, fuel cells, and electronic devices from the adverse effects of electrostatic discharge during handling, Piab has developed a new series of suction cups incorporating ESD protection technology. Regardless of the selected size, the new BXP ESD cups cover a surface resistance range of 10^6 to 10^9 Ω (Ohm), ensuring the safety and integrity of batteries, fuel cells, and electronic components in any handling situation.
