Because people with differing values, backgrounds, generations, and genders come together to create an organization, it tends to lack cohesion. Therefore, it is important for you, as the team leader, to communicate and ensure understanding of the value judgment criteria you are considering. If you create a system, you may initially be able to drive it with the power of the team leader. However, if the sense of being forced to do it becomes strong, it won't last long. What is important is to teach perspectives and ways of thinking such as: ■ Why are we doing this? ■ Why is this perspective necessary? ■ Why does this happen? ■ What should we do in this situation?
