The density (concentration) of the fluid inside the pipe is measured from the outside of the pipe. No processing of the pipe is required.
Our gamma-ray density meter PM-1000ExNC measures completely non-contact by simply being clamped onto existing piping without any processing. Conventional density (concentration) meters of other types require the sensor part to come into contact with the fluid, which can lead to sensor failure under acidic, alkaline, high-temperature, or high-pressure conditions. Additionally, in the case of slurries, the sensor may become stuck, gradually causing measurement errors until it can no longer measure. The sensor part of the PM-1000ExNC does not come into contact with the fluid, and there is no pressure applied within the piping. Furthermore, by providing appropriate insulation between the piping and the sensor part, there is no influence from temperature. Therefore, it can measure fluids under acidic, alkaline, high-temperature, high-pressure conditions, and slurries without any issues. If you are troubled by problems with other methods, please consider the PM-1000ExNC.
