Sidestream smoke: Smoke that comes from the burning end of a cigarette. 3. Exhaled smoke: Smoke that comes from the smoker's breath after smoking. Many people may mistakenly think that sidestream smoke refers to "the smoke that the smoker exhales," but in fact, sidestream smoke is the smoke that comes from the tobacco itself.
