basic information
The open disk blades of the ROSS high-speed disperser move at a speed of approximately 5,000 feet per minute and are designed to create vigorous turbulence within low-viscosity batches. This blade forms vortices, allowing dry components to be quickly wetted as they are introduced into the mix. The rotational speed of the blades can be adjusted according to the thickening of the batch or the increase in volume, maintaining the rotation speed of the vortex and the materials. To avoid "layering" or the potential for stratification within the batch, most models allow for the disperser to be raised and lowered during mixing. The design of the ROSS high-shear disperser accommodates containers of various sizes (diameter and height) and can be installed both on-center and off-center. In off-center mixing, the shaft is used as a baffle, which reduces or collapses the vortices and minimizes the entrapment of air within the batch. Tank-mounted, telescoping covers, matching vacuum-rated containers and covers, swivel lifts, and other customizations are available.

Applications/Examples of results
Cost-effective serrated dispersers are standard flagship products in the manufacturing of chemicals, polymers, composites, inks, paints, adhesives, food, and various other applications. Their main purpose is to incorporate powders into liquids, breaking down particle agglomeration to produce fine and stable dispersions.
