Biomass refers to renewable organic resources derived from plants, excluding fossil resources. Since plants absorb CO2 during their growth process, they are considered not to increase CO2 emissions even when incinerated, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse effects. What is the biomass mark? It is a mark certified by the Japan Organic Resources Association, aimed at contributing to the construction of a sustainable society. It is granted to products that contain "10% or more (dry weight)" of biological resources (biomass) and meet certain quality and safety standards.
