During normal times, it can be used just like a regular floor, without the need for special devices or power sources. In the event of a sudden disaster, it effectively fulfills its role, and its performance can be verified simply by turning off the lights during disaster drills. It is recommended as a higher-level BCP (Business Continuity Planning) measure.
