Detects burrs on the textured surface of plastic parts!
When inspecting the textured surfaces of plastic parts from an automotive parts manufacturer, it is common for burrs to appear. However, it has been difficult to distinguish between the textured surface and burrs under 0.5mm, which has led to the shipment of defective products. To detect small discrepancies, we considered implementing image processing software. 【Inspection Settings and Results】 We used the "Dimension Angle Inspection" feature of EasyInspector along with backlight illumination. By using backlight illumination, we were able to clearly capture the contours of the object. We then set up the "Dimension Angle Inspection" to detect the boundary between bright and dark areas. If the values exceed those of the normal parts, a failure judgment is made, allowing us to detect burrs of 0.5mm.
