■Example 1: Determining Efficient Flight Routes Large drones tend to be expensive due to their performance requirements, and their operating costs are generally higher compared to smaller drones. Therefore, to use large drones efficiently, it is crucial not only to acquire piloting skills but also to establish the shortest route. To achieve this, a gyro accelerometer logger is mounted to record the flight data as coordinates and establish the route. One of the significant advantages of our x-IMU3 is that it is wireless, allowing data collection while the drone is actually in flight. ■Example 2: Current Condition Survey in Inaccessible Areas There are areas and locations, such as the interiors of factory chimneys, the exteriors of high-rise buildings, and the insides of drainage pipes, that are not easily accessible to people. However, it is necessary to investigate whether there is any damage to the equipment or if aging is progressing, which is often not done as desired. In such cases, by equipping a drone with the x-IMU3 and conducting surveys with multiple measurement items, efficient data collection can be achieved.
