Motor coil rewinding repair: We support all types of motors, regardless of model/year of manufacture/country of production!
■What is coil rewinding for motors? - Coil rewinding refers to the process of removing burnt or deteriorated insulation coils and replacing them with newly manufactured coils to restore a faulty motor. - Our company is capable of repairing coil rewinding (rewinding) for various types of motors. We can handle rewinding and manufacturing for low-voltage squirrel cage motor stator coils, as well as high-voltage motor stator coils, DC motors, winding type motors, and more, regardless of the type of motor. We also support rewinding repair for rotor (armature/rotor) coils. Additionally, we accept rewinding repairs for brake coils and magnet coils, as well as prototypes of special coils for research and development purposes. ■Strengths of Kamaishi Electric - Since our establishment, we have been engaged in the maintenance of motors and pumps, and we have also been involved in the rewinding maintenance of burnt coils since our founding, which is one of our strengths. - We have started nationwide support for coil rewinding maintenance. Customers who are troubled by burnt coils are welcome to contact us.

High Voltage Motor Stator Coil Rewinding ● Condition Before Maintenance The motor has been in use for many years, and while the coils are not burnt out, signs of aging deterioration have been observed. The customer requested, "We plan to update the equipment in a few years, but we want to operate without issues until then," so we addressed this with coil rewinding maintenance. ● Results After Maintenance For high voltage motor coils, it is common to wind the coils using a wooden mold and then finalize the shaping with a pull-out machine or similar equipment. This is not limited to high voltage motors; during the coil insertion process, careful work is required to avoid damaging insulating materials such as insulation tape. After conducting pressure tests and confirming there are no issues, assembly and finishing are performed, and finally, a no-load test is conducted to complete the maintenance. One Point Advice While round wire is often used for low voltage motor coils, flat wire is generally used for high voltage motors. In the case of flat copper wire, due to major domestic manufacturers withdrawing from the business or relocating production overseas, the material delivery times have become very lengthy in recent years. However, our company has secured procurement routes for coil materials.

Rewinding of the Armature Coil of a DC Motor ● Condition Before Maintenance In this case, the armature coil was burned out, and it was necessary to rewind the armature (the rotor of the DC motor). Upon disassembly and inspection, it was confirmed visually that the coil had turned black overall, indicating a burned condition. ● Maintenance Result The armature coil was removed, and a newly manufactured (rewound) armature coil was installed. Various insulating materials were updated, and insulation treatment (such as varnish impregnation) was performed, completing the rewinding. ● One Point Advice In the maintenance of DC motors, there are cases where rewinding the coil is not necessary even when the insulation is zero. Specifically, when the main pole (or auxiliary pole) coil is mounted on the stator, it may show zero insulation, but upon removing the coil and measuring, no issues with insulation or coil resistance are found. In such cases, it is often due to the deterioration of the insulating material between the stator (iron core) and the coil that results in zero insulation. In this case, regeneration is achieved through the new manufacturing or replacement of the insulating material and overhaul.

We received a consultation from a customer regarding a burned-out brake coil. We picked it up from the site and repaired it at our factory. The item we are introducing this time is the rewinding repair of the electromagnetic brake coil used in a 10-ton crane at a logistics center. ● Condition before maintenance (Before) As reported by the customer, the brake coil was completely burned out. ● Maintenance results (After) During the repair process, we disassembled the coil and checked the number of turns. Once the coil was rewound, we completed the process with varnish impregnation, compound treatment, varnish finishing, and various insulation treatments. ● One-point advice When brake failure is confirmed, a burned-out brake coil is suspected, so please feel free to contact us. We also accept repairs, manufacturing, and prototyping for coils other than those for motors, so do not hesitate to reach out.

Since our establishment in 1949, we have been involved in the repair and maintenance of rotating machinery such as motors and pumps. Now, we are doing business not only within Iwate Prefecture but also with various customers in the Tohoku region. We can service a wide range of motors, including AC (low/high voltage), DC, wound types, and various gear motors, regardless of type, including older models and foreign-made ones. Of course, the same applies to pumps. In particular, there are now few companies in the Tohoku region that can rewind burned coils, but since our founding, we have continued to rewind coils and can handle various types of motors as mentioned above. Recently, it often takes a long time to receive new products, so please consider coil rewinding maintenance in case of burning troubles or insulation failures. We also accept coil manufacturing. We can also handle prototype coils for research and development purposes, so feel free to consult us. Additionally, we have thermal spraying equipment (for the regeneration of worn parts) and large no-load testing equipment (capable of handling large capacity motors), allowing us to provide comprehensive motor maintenance in-house. We also accept on-site maintenance. Furthermore, we are actively engaged in the development of photocatalytic technology using thermal spraying. For more details, please visit our website.
