Various Uses of Hook-and-Loop Fasteners! Introducing Arako Column Vol. 19
As a manufacturer of hook-and-loop fasteners, we encounter customers who use our products in a variety of ways. One of the most impressive ideas I came across in the past was from a customer who designed a rehabilitation product using the engagement strength of hook-and-loop fasteners. Many of you may already know that the sticking force between the hook and loop sides can be easily peeled apart by hand in the peeling direction (180° direction), but it has a very strong tensile strength in the pulling direction (horizontal direction). By utilizing this difference in strength based on "direction," the customer created a product that helps with the recovery and maintenance of hand functions, such as grip strength, by twisting the adhered hook-and-loop fasteners in a circular motion, resulting in a tearing sound. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related link.
