The conventional tabletop 2D colorimeter had challenges such as "large size and difficulty in mobility." Therefore, we have prepared a new model that is lightweight and compact, weighing about 10 kg. With a space-saving design that fits neatly on a desk, it can be installed anywhere, allowing for flexible operation. Despite its small size, it maintains the same high performance as previous models. By capturing color over a surface through 2D measurement, it can obtain color information at a pixel level, allowing for quantitative evaluation of not only color differences but also differences in texture. This enables stable quality assessment by anyone, without relying on the intuition of experienced operators. Furthermore, all captured data can be stored and managed digitally, facilitating comparisons with past inspection results and ensuring traceability. The accumulation of inspection history strongly supports the digital transformation of quality management and the standardization and efficiency of inspection processes.
