Proposal for health checks to prevent troubles with "piping" in the factory and to ensure continuous use.
Touring the factory, the pipes through which water flows can be likened to "blood vessels" in a human body. Just as human blood vessels and factory pipes age (degrade over time), they can develop various troubles. To continue using the "pipes," which are the blood vessels of the factory, it is important to conduct regular health checks to prevent issues before they arise. ◆ Are there any factors that could lead to trouble? - The pipes have been in place for over 15 years. - The flow through the pipes is poor. - There are strange odors or noises coming from the pipes. - There has been a history of leaks in the system. ◆ If any of the above phenomena are present, a current investigation of the pipes is necessary.

basic information
Proposal for Deterioration Diagnosis (Health Check) of Piping for Medium- to Long-Term Preventive Maintenance Since the inside of the piping is usually not visible, its deterioration tends to be overlooked. The aging deterioration of piping progresses gradually over time. Issues such as red water occurrence, reduced water flow, and potential leaks can arise if left unattended. By conducting a deterioration diagnosis (health check) of the piping, it is possible to predict the extent of deterioration to some degree, and based on that prediction, a maintenance plan can be established, enabling medium- to long-term preventive maintenance. (1) Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (measuring the remaining thickness from the outer surface of the piping) This is a non-destructive measurement that can assess the degree of corrosion and estimate the remaining usable years. (2) X-ray Inspection (irradiating the piping with X-rays to check the corrosion status) This is non-destructive (no need to shut off water) and allows for immediate results on-site. It clearly identifies areas of deterioration. (3) Pipe Sample Inspection (visual inspection of the inner condition of the removed sample piping and measurement of the remaining thickness) Inspection is conducted by mailing the sample piping. It confirms the condition of rust blockage, identifies deteriorated areas, assesses the degree of corrosion, and estimates the remaining usable years.
