**Lecture Overview** Based on the national energy basic plan, we have been advancing the replacement of smart meters since October 2014. Our company has taken the lead over other power companies in the modernization of the distribution system through system integration with distribution automation systems and distribution load curve management systems, as well as providing a network for joint automatic meter reading for gas and water. We will reflect on these advanced initiatives over the past 10 years. Additionally, we will explain the future prospects of next-generation smart meters and the importance of specialized organizations for the operation and maintenance of the series of systems.
