**Lecture Overview** In order to achieve a decarbonized society, the use of hydrogen in thermal power generation and air supply boilers is being anticipated. By converting the fuel used in existing boilers to hydrogen, we can utilize existing facilities and realize economic and large-scale hydrogen utilization. Additionally, in GTCC plants, there is an increasing demand for hydrogen utilization not only for fuel for gas turbines but also for HRSG supplementary burners. The large-scale introduction of hydrogen fuel requires addressing challenges arising from the properties of hydrogen. Our company has been developing hydrogen combustion technology using diffusion combustion burners that can be operated safely.
