Measuring the relative positions and dimensions of numerous holes opened on a metal plate manually is a very labor-intensive task, even for experienced workers. Additionally, the more measurement points there are, the longer it takes. Furthermore, with devices that measure dimensions from images, if the size is too large to fit on a single screen, measurement may not be possible. In response to these issues, our system, which combines a general-purpose stage and an image processing system, allows for various dimension measurements to be performed simply by setting it up, accommodating both large items and those with many holes.
