[Seminar] INPEX Corporation's Initiatives in the "CO2 Methanation Project"

**Lecture Overview** The production of e-methane through CO2 methanation has the greatest advantage of enabling decarbonization without changing the existing infrastructure of natural gas and city gas, as well as contributing to carbon recycling. INPEX has been conducting a NEDO demonstration project at a scale of 400 Nm3-CH4/h, one of the largest in the world, since the fiscal year 2021, and the completion of the demonstration facility is imminent. In the fiscal year 2025, it is planned to proceed from preparation and trial operation to demonstration operation and the injection of e-methane into pipelines.
