Quality improvement of cobalt alloys *Case study materials for problem-solving are being distributed!
Solve the situation where there are many defects both internally and externally, leading to cracks and malfunctions during subsequent processing!
The materials that can be downloaded from this page introduce case studies related to solving issues associated with the quality improvement of cobalt alloys. Customers who wish to investigate potential causes based on information from the composition, mechanical properties, and internal structure of existing products are welcome to consult with us. 【Challenges faced by the customers in the case studies】 Existing metal materials often have defects due to internal and external flaws. *For details on solutions and effects, please refer to the case study materials available for download in the catalog below, or feel free to contact us.

【Needs We Can Address】 ■ There are quality issues with the existing cobalt alloy fine wire material that we want to resolve. ■ There are many defects both internally and externally, which cause cracking and problems during subsequent processing. ■ Since we do not manufacture it ourselves, we cannot conduct investigations and cannot identify the cause. ■ Cobalt alloy is a special material, and we cannot find a vendor with improvement know-how. ■ The required quantity is not large, so other manufacturers are unwilling to engage with us. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Aiwa Co., Ltd. Metal Division was established through a collaboration project between the Iwate Prefecture and the Tohoku University Institute of Metal Materials. It serves as the manufacturing base for the cobalt alloy "COBARION," originating from the "Iron Town" of Kamaishi. Utilizing the technical know-how gained from the development and practical application of "COBARION," we engage in the development and manufacturing of various special alloys. From material selection to melting, forging, rolling, and machining, you can rely on Aiwa Metal Division as your one-stop shop for alloy materials. We handle everything from the production of ingots using 30kg and 100kg vacuum melting furnaces to hot plastic processing with a 600-ton hydraulic press and rolling mill, accommodating small-scale prototypes and development that are difficult for major special alloy manufacturers to manage. We also have a track record of joint development of functional metal materials such as special steels, magnetic materials, resistive materials, and spring materials that are hard to obtain in the market, as well as original alloys customized for our customers. We are confident that we can be of assistance as a material developer and supplier.
