What is an Event-Based Vision Sensor (EVS)? When capturing a ball, traditional frame-based image sensors output the entire image of the ball and background at fixed intervals determined by the frame rate. In contrast, an event-based vision sensor captures only differential data, allowing it to track the trajectory of a moving ball with very high temporal resolution. The Event-Based Vision Sensor (EVS) detects changes in brightness asynchronously at each pixel and outputs only differential data by combining this with coordinate and time information, achieving high-speed, low-latency data output.
