Stainless steel with high surface insulation resistance "FI (Fine Insulation) finish"
In recent years, electronic devices represented by smartphones and game consoles have shown significant miniaturization and low-profile designs. Until now, measures to avoid short circuits have involved using insulating tape or composites with resin at points where conductive parts are touched, but this has hindered cost reduction and miniaturization. Against this backdrop, our company has uniquely developed a pre-coated FI finish with an inorganic film (approximately 1μm thick) that has insulating resistance on a stainless steel surface. The FI finish does not require surface treatment in post-processing, making it a space-saving product that contributes to our customers' process simplification, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.

■ Specifications 1) Steel types: SUS304, SUS301, SUS430, etc. 2) Thickness: 0.05 to 0.15 mm 3) Width: Maximum 500 mm * Please consult us for specifications other than the above. ■ Features of FI Finish 1) It has a high surface insulation resistance (over 50 MΩ*). * Resistance measured in the thickness direction using a digital multimeter. 2) The coating has a high heat resistance and can maintain a stable coating even at high temperatures (up to 850℃). 3) The coating is a hard inorganic film, making it excellent in scratch resistance and suitable for sliding parts. 4) The thickness of the coating is 0.5 to 1 μm. 5) Consideration for metals other than stainless steel is also possible.
