basic information
**Lecture Overview** Negative emission technologies (NETs), represented by DACCS, are essential for achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 as carbon dioxide removal (CDR) to offset the unavoidable greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (hard-to-abate sectors). Currently, many NETs technology development projects are being launched worldwide, and in Europe and the United States, DAC is being implemented at a scale of 1 million tons per year, supported by CDR credits and other factors. This lecture will confirm the position of NETs (particularly DAC/BEC) in decarbonization and provide an overview of the latest trends in their component technologies and business supply chains. It will also discuss the potential and challenges of sustainability to ensure stable supply, economic viability, and environmental integrity. **Lecture Topics** ■ Trends in CDR towards a decarbonized society ■ Development and commercialization trends of CDR/NETs ■ Sustainability of the CDR business supply chain ■ Domestic and international projects on DACCS/BECCS ■ Future developments ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card and information exchange session
