**Lecture Overview** Currently, the construction of the nuclear fusion experimental reactor ITER is being advanced in Cadarache, France, through international cooperation. In parallel, in our country, a broad approach (BA) activity is being conducted as a joint research project between Japan and Europe, with an eye toward the development of a prototype reactor after ITER.
