**Lecture Overview** The shortage of doctors in rural areas is becoming increasingly serious, with securing emergency, pediatric, perinatal, and surgical care as the top priority. Additionally, there is an urgent need to secure healthcare workers, including nurses who handle night shifts. Recognizing that previous measures to secure doctors have not been sufficiently effective, a group of concerned lawmakers requested effective measures from Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Takemi, leading to the compilation of a "Comprehensive Policy Package for Correcting the Disparity of Physicians" at the end of last year.
