The "Iso-Nite treatment method" is an improved version of salt bath nitriding treatment introduced in Japan by Hamamatsu Heat Treatment Industry and its group company, Nippon Parkerizing Co., Ltd. The main features are that it can be applied to any type of steel, and due to the low-temperature treatment, there is extremely little dimensional change, allowing for processing in a short time (0.5 to 3 hours). By immersing in a salt bath agent at 580°C, a compound layer is formed on the surface, with a diffusion layer beneath it. By applying "Iso-Nite treatment" to steel materials, their lifespan is significantly improved.
