Suppressing distortion and achieving precision - Innovation in aluminum heat treatment.
In aluminum heat treatment, many engineers may be troubled by distortion and deformation. Our company's designed aluminum air-cooling solution heat treatment furnace cools the material with air after solution treatment, significantly reducing the amount of distortion. However, this means that "less distortion = slower cooling speed compared to water cooling," which can result in a slight decrease in hardness compared to water cooling. If hardness equivalent to that of water cooling is required even with air cooling, it is possible to prevent the decrease in hardness by increasing the amount of alloying elements such as Mg within the standard range.
