First introduced in Japan! Concentrated liquid made from pink lemons grown in California, USA, processed in Canada.
Pink lemons were discovered in the 1930s in California as a mutation of the Eureka lemon tree. Due to their lower cold hardiness compared to common lemons, they are now produced seasonally, primarily in Southern California. The official variety name is called variegated pink lemon or variegated Eureka lemon. The sugar and acidity levels are about average for common lemons, but they are characterized by a refreshing flavor that gives a sense of sweetness. The pink lemons that have become popular in California, with their distinctive striped skin and pink flesh, have gained popularity in recent years through social media due to their visual appeal.
