【Lecture Overview】 In the shipping industry, greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets have been established for the protection of the global environment, and related regulations are being strengthened to achieve these goals. Efforts are being made to apply low GHG emission fuels such as hydrogen, e-methanol, and ammonia, as well as to promote energy conservation through the efficient operation of equipment on ships. Additionally, particularly in domestic shipping, there are challenges in maintaining safe operations due to chronic crew shortages, recent work style reforms, and amendments to the Seafarers Act.
