As the use of EVs for long-distance and heavy-duty vehicle applications increases, charging these large-capacity batteries within a reasonable time frame is seen as a significant challenge. To overcome this obstacle, the global association Charging Interface Initiative e.V. (CharIN) is collaborating with industry leaders, including Stäubli, to develop the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) standard and promote it as a global standard to facilitate interoperability in charging all types of vehicles.
