Connect busbars such as inverters, motors, and batteries with zero bolts!
Busbars are required for connecting critical internal components, including inverters and motors, within high-voltage powertrain assemblies. Stäubli's ZeroBolt busbar connection is designed to address issues associated with traditional bolt connections, leveraging extensive experience in electrical contact technology. They incorporate Stäubli's unique MULTILAM technology, enabling high current capacity while compensating for thermal expansion and vibration resistance. The flexibility of the ZeroBolt plug-in design streamlines manufacturing and significantly reduces costs and risks compared to traditional bolt connections. It achieves connections for high currents due to very low contact resistance, automates the assembly of busbar connections through blind mating, reduces space by accommodating compact high currents and eliminating bolts, decreases the number of components, eliminates torque management for bolt tightening, and reduces the risk of bolt loosening due to vibration and thermal expansion.

basic information
Busbars can be freely designed according to your requirements, including shape, size, material, required current, and connections with the base and cables. High current capacity Achieves very low contact resistance, long-term reliable contact systems, and space-saving compact dimensions with proven MULTILAM contact technology. High correction capability ZeroBolt allows for tolerance correction in up to three directions, achieving optimal performance across a wide power range and excellent performance even during thermal expansion. Compact design Features high current capacity plug connections in small spaces. This eliminates the need for bolts and reduces space constraints from tool operations. No welding or fixing required ZeroBolt connections eliminate the need for torque management of bolted busbars. This results in no initial costs (CAPEX) and a simpler installation process (lower operating costs (OPEX)), reducing costs and cycle times while also supporting automated assembly. There are no quality variations based on torque-related issues. There is no risk of bolt loosening over long periods due to vibration or thermal expansion.
