basic information
Temperature changes due to factors other than external forces, such as the hydration heat of cement and ambient temperature, can cause deformation to be restrained, leading to cracking. To concentrate such cracks in predetermined locations, a section loss is created to artificially induce cracks, which is known as a crack-inducing joint. The waterproofing material installed within the cover protects against water leakage and corrosion of the rebar for an extended period without relying on sealing. Because the progression of carbonation is rapid in architectural structures, it effectively waterproofs within the concrete. The waterproofing material with a section loss and the guiding steel plate allow for easy adjustment of the required amount of section loss. Additionally, with a one-touch fixation using spring materials, anyone can easily and accurately secure it.
