**Lecture Overview** Hydrogen is expected to be utilized in a wide range of fields, including steelmaking, mobility, industrial heat, and power generation. It will serve as an important material that forms the foundation of next-generation energy sources such as ammonia, synthetic methane, and synthetic fuels, becoming a key energy source for achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Looking at the situation surrounding hydrogen, significant movements are observed in policy, such as the revision of the Basic Hydrogen Strategy in June of the 5th year of Reiwa and the enforcement of the Hydrogen Society Promotion Law in October of the 6th year of Reiwa.
