"Friction stir welding" allows metals to be joined together with super strength while maintaining the original strength of the materials.
You can join lumber and pre-processed materials! It is also possible to join dissimilar diameter steel materials and hybrid steel materials made of different metals.
Toho Giken Co., Ltd.'s friction welding technology is a type of metal joining technique that uses the heat generated by friction between two workpieces to bring the joint area to a red-hot softened state, while simultaneously applying high pressure to achieve a completely oxidation-free bond at the atomic level. Using a technique called rotary friction welding, one of the materials (workpieces) to be joined is rotated at high speed while being brought into contact with the other. This utilizes the frictional heat generated at the contact surface to soften it to a red-hot state, and the joining is completed by applying further high pressure. Since the joint area is completely bonded over its entire surface, it achieves a strength equal to or greater than that of the base material. In destructive testing, whether pulled, bent, or twisted, the areas outside the joint fail first, resulting in a very strong bond. **Features** - Exceptional bonding strength compared to joining techniques such as brazing and welding - Machining is possible after joining - Capable of creating cylindrical materials with steps, such as large-diameter and small-diameter materials - Hollow structures can be created by pressure welding discs and pipes *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.*

Company information
The friction welding method was introduced to our country around 1965, and its uniqueness was recognized, leading to its adoption in various industries. However, on the other hand, the current situation was that many companies wanted to adopt this method but were unable to conduct experiments easily and implement it. To address this issue and contribute to the spread of this method, we established a company.
