東邦技研 Company Profile
From round bar machining to friction welding.
The friction welding method was introduced to our country around 1965, and its uniqueness was recognized, leading to its adoption in various industries. However, on the other hand, the current situation was that many companies wanted to adopt this method but were unable to conduct experiments easily and implement it. To address this issue and contribute to the spread of this method, we established a company.
Business Activities
Friction stir welding has the characteristic of being able to join dissimilar metals and is highly regarded as a method that leads to cost reduction in various fields. Based on friction stir welding technology, we strive to contribute to our customers' cost reduction and new product development from a broad perspective, ranging from materials to composite processing. ■ Friction Stir Welding Friction stir welding can accommodate customer requests from small to large items, prototypes, and small lots to mass-produced products. Unlike other welding methods, friction stir welding does not require welding rods at all. In terms of running costs, it only requires the power for the motor driving the welding machine, making it approximately 1/30 the cost of gas welding, 1/10 the cost of flash butt welding, and 1/5 the cost of electric welding. ■ Composite Processing By combining NC lathes and full-scale machining centers, round, flat, and hole processing can be done in one chucking.
