basic information
【Lecture Overview】 The regulation of PFAS is accelerating globally due to its harmful effects on human health, with restrictions on manufacturing, importing, and usage. While regulations are already advanced in regions such as the EU and the United States, Japan has also implemented some regulations regarding manufacturing and importing, and there are movements to establish water quality standards for drinking water. It is inevitable that regulations concerning PFAS will continue to strengthen in the future. This seminar will provide an overview of domestic and international regulations on PFAS, and will detail how companies should respond if PFAS is discovered in their products or if PFAS contamination is found in soil or groundwater on factory premises, as well as legal responses to other frequently encountered issues, based on recent practical experiences. 【Lecture Topics】 ■ What is PFAS ■ Trends in PFAS regulations domestically and internationally and regulatory responses ■ Cases where PFAS is a practical issue ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card and information exchange session ~ We kindly ask that lawyers, judicial scriveners, and others in the same profession, as well as those affiliated with law firms, refrain from attending ~
