We would like to introduce examples of lightning protection measures for electrical equipment at water-related treatment facilities. Water supply and sewage facilities are critical infrastructure where shutdowns are not permitted. However, many of these facilities are located in suburban or mountainous areas with frequent thunderstorms, and they often contain instrumentation equipment and telemetry, which are relatively susceptible to lightning strikes, leading to a high incidence of lightning damage. Our lightning arresters are installed on power supplies, communication lines, instrumentation signal lines, inverters, and various equipment both inside and outside the facility, protecting the equipment from lightning. 【Case Overview】 - Lightning arresters are installed on the power supply sections of telemetry panels and instrumentation panels, as well as on telemetry communication lines and measurement signals from field equipment. - We also propose installation on the power supply and signal lines of measurement equipment on the field side. - In cases where wiring distances are long, lightning arresters are installed on self-owned communication lines between equipment and control signal lines between panels. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
